Pregnancy and childbirth are not merely medical events. Bringing a new life into the world is what God designed a woman’s body to do!

Our goal is to help mothers and fathers prepare spiritually, physically, and practically for labor, birth, postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and the early days of parenting — with a biblical worldview at the center.

Many modern childbirth classes incorporate philosophies and practices rooted in Eastern meditation, hypnosis, or New Age spirituality. As Bible-believing Christians, we desired something different: childbirth education grounded in truth, wisdom, and practical preparation without influences that conflict with Scripture.

Whether you are planning a hospital birth, birth center birth, or home birth, these classes are designed to help you:

• Understand the normal process of labor and birth
• Learn practical comfort measures and relaxation techniques
• Make informed decisions with confidence and discernment
• Work together as a strong birth team
• Prepare physically through nutrition, movement, and wise self-care
• Gain confidence for breastfeeding and postpartum recovery

Our desire is not simply to help you “get through” labor, but to help you prepare for motherhood and family life with wisdom, calmness, and joy.

Hi, my name is Anne Elliott, and I teach Christian childbirth classes in Perry, Michigan, and online.

I am a certified childbirth educator with more than 25 years of teaching experience. I am also the mother of seven children, with experience in hospital birth, birth-center birth, home birth, and cesarean birth.

Over the years, I have walked through many different kinds of birth experiences myself. Looking back, I believe Yehovah used those experiences to help me better understand and support women in many different situations — whether their births unfold exactly as planned or take unexpected turns along the way.

I believe women are deeply helped by both practical preparation and compassionate support. Birth is physical, emotional, and spiritual work. When mothers understand what is happening in their bodies, when husbands know how to lead and support well, and when families approach birth thoughtfully rather than fearfully, the entire experience changes.

These classes are openly Christian, which means we will use our Bibles.

We believe the account in Genesis is true. We believe women were created in the image of God and designed with incredible wisdom and purpose. We also recognize that we live in a fallen world where difficulties, interventions, and complications sometimes occur. Because of this, we value both natural preparation and wise decision-making.

We believe in strong families, strong marriages, and women caring for other women.

Most of all, we want mothers and fathers to feel equipped, informed, and peaceful as they prepare to welcome their babies into the world.

Class Information

Childbirth classes are $199 and include:

• 12 comprehensive classes
• A printed binder/workbook
• Attendance for both mother and husband/support person
• Practical homework and preparation assignments
• Ongoing encouragement and support throughout the course

Classes are available both locally in Perry, Michigan, and online at Homeschooling Torah.
